The first quarter of 2016 will bring two new iOS devices to the market. Apple is going to release a 4inch iPhone 5se along with 9.7 inch iPad Air 3 by the end of March or in April.

The iPhone 5se is going to be similar to iPhone 5s, but only in looks. The hardware and software in it will be upgraded, for example it will have 12 megapixel camera and curved glass edges. Compared to iPhone 6 and 6s, there will not be much improvement in the hardware and the software of the device. The prefix ‘se’ is believed to special edition.

There is not much information available on iPad Air 3. It is predicted that the iPad Air 3 will launch along with iPhone 5se in March or April. Last year in 2014, Apple introduced iPad Air 2 powered with A8X chipset and a few small hardware upgrades. Some rumors suggest that the iPad Air 3 will have A9X chipset, 3 GB Ram and 13 MP rear camera with a flashlight.

Apple at present is focusing on various kinds of upgrades in the A-series SoC technology, the battery life of its device as well as the resolution of the camera. A number of rumors show Apple is planning to get rid of iPhone’s 3 .5mm headphone jack port, but this upgrade will not be seen in iPhone 5se. Some of the rumors suggest that iPhone 5se will be waterproof, but there is nothing confirmed yet.

Apple has the habit of surprising, hence we will have to wait for the release of the two new iOS devices maybe in March or lately by April to know everything about these gadgets.
